UAS on Ecuador 2013
Researchers from the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE), in collaboration with the School of Life Sciences and the GAMMA Programme, went to the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador in July 2013, where they deployed Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to collect aerial footage of the rain forest canopy. more
Grant Success - GAMMA Programme funded!
The University of Manchester has been involved in a successful bid for funding to develop jobs in the area of Autonomous Systems in the North West. GAMMA (Growing Autonomous Systems Mission Management Applications) is a technology and next generation supply chain development programme led by North West Aerospace Alliance in partnership with BAE Systemsand North West Universities Manchester. Liverpool, Lancaster, Salford, Central Lancashire and the National Nuclear Laboratories.
